Summary
[edit]DescriptionSpocott Windmill, Maryland.jpg |
English: The Spocott Windmill was built in 1972 by Jim Richardson, it is a reconstruction of a windmill built by John Anthony LeCompte Radcliffe around 1852 which blew down in a blizzard in 1888. I visited this site on September 4, 2017. Several other historical structures sit within feet of the windmill creating a small village of the 19th century. It's quite a scenic place to visit & I really enjoyed photographing all of the structures. Spoccot Windmill is recognized by the Maryland Historical Society (see listing). |
